Context

As part of Hartree Mosaic’s evolution, there was a need to refine its brand identity to better align with its mission of delivering accurate, well-visualised data. The existing branding, while functional, required a more polished and modern approach to reflect the company’s commitment to innovation, reliability, and seamless user experience. The refresh was designed to enhance brand recognition while maintaining the fundamental essence of Hartree Mosaic’s identity.


What We Did

We undertook a strategic logo refresh that retained the brand’s core symbolism while refining its execution. By incorporating the letter 'H' for Hartree and embedding the 'M' in the style of trend lines, we created a cohesive and dynamic mark. This design visually represents Hartree Mosaic’s ability to track market trends and provide actionable insights. The revised logo ensures flexibility for use across multiple mediums, maintaining clarity and impact.

Brand Guide

Design Elements

The brand guide establishes consistency across all visual touch points by detailing typography, color palettes, and logo usage. The primary typography choices include Freight Big Pro for headings, offering an elegant yet strong visual presence, and Neue Haas Grotesk Display Pro for body text, ensuring readability and modern aesthetics. Public Sans is used for web applications to maintain a seamless digital experience. The colour palette is anchored in blue, signifying trust and intelligence, complemented by Tiffany Blue, Deep Navy, Ice Blue, and White to create a refined and sophisticated brand presence.

Visual language & Stationary

The visual language for Hartree Mosaic emphasises clarity, precision, and data-driven storytelling. The combination of primary and secondary color palettes, along with refined typography, ensures a cohesive brand experience across all digital and print materials. The use of trend lines and data visualisation elements reinforces the company’s role in analytics and financial markets. These elements are consistently applied across presentations, reports, and marketing materials to establish a strong and recognisable brand identity.

ncorporating the new branding into stationery items was a crucial step in reinforcing Hartree Mosaic’s identity. Business cards now feature the refreshed logo with a clean and professional layout, utilising embossed finishes and high-quality stock for a premium feel. Letterheads and envelopes maintain a minimalist aesthetic, ensuring readability while subtly integrating brand elements. Additional materials, such as presentation templates and digital assets, follow the brand guidelines to create a seamless experience across all corporate communications.

In developing the branding for Hartree Mosaic, the main challenge was ensuring the new logo and visual identity aligned with the broader Hartree Group brand while maintaining its distinctiveness. As part of the Hartree umbrella, it needed to be recognisable within the Branded House but also stand out as a unique entity. Balancing these design elements was crucial to highlight Hartree Mosaic’s innovative focus.

Additionally, understanding the complexity of Hartree Mosaic’s business model was key. With a platform handling vast amounts of data and offering insights across various sectors, we worked closely with the client to translate this complexity into a clear and accessible design. Elements like trend lines in the logo symbolise their analytical precision and forecasting capabilities.

The final goal was to create a branding system that integrated seamlessly within the Hartree Group while standing out in the competitive financial analytics market.
